The Taimar was excellent. We read mixed reviews but can honestly not find fault with the hotel. We travelled with my son who is a wheelchair user so our main concern is accessibility. We booked an accessible suite and it was the best accessible room we have ever stayed in. The property is 10/10 for accessibility, ramps throughout the hotel with bar, restaurant and reception all on the same level with a lift up one floor to the pool and pool bar. Ramp and handrail into the pool and accessible wheelchair friendly toilets on both floors. The room has a roll in shower with shower chair and toilet with handrail and an adapted sink. We met a couple of other families who also had accessibility issues and they were also impressed. The food was excellent and a good variety on offer. The best feature of this hotel however is its staff. The bar and restaurant staff Javier, Anna, Vincent and Patricia are the friendliest and hardest working staff we have ever encountered and are a credit to the Taimar and would be an addition to any hotel. Some reviews complained about the restaurant being a wind tunnel, there is a slight breeze through the restaurant as it is partially open but it’s most welcome and refreshing rather than sitting in a stuffy indoor dining room. Some reviewers had negative comments but I can honestly say we couldn’t find fault with the hotel… compact, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, quiet, good food and fantastic staff. The only odd thing about the Taimar is regardless of arrival time the rooms rooms are not available until 4pm and wristbands for the all inclusive are not issued until 1pm, we arrived at about 11:30 and in fairness they did have one of the rooms ready at 1pm and gave us the key but it’s kind of pointless having to wait until 1pm to be able to get something to eat or drink.

The hotel is located about 7 minutes walk from the center, the same time it takes to get to the beach. We appreciated the location in a quiet area. Car parking is possible in the adjacent streets (we could park here without problems even late at night). The hotel is very pleasant, nice and well maintained. The rooms, lobby and other areas are tastefully decorated. The cleanliness of the rooms and the whole hotel is of a very high standard. Staff always smiling, friendly and helpful (with exceptions). I must highlight the hotel restaurant. All the food was excellent. Fruits and vegetables always fresh, great choice of main courses but not overdone. Every day there was fish or seafood and another choice of meat. From the hot side dishes potatoes, rice and hot vegetables. There was also a choice of soup, pasta or fried foods like chips, breaded cheese,.... For dessert, cake or ice cream, fruit. Drinks are ordered for the table. When the restaurant was "fully booked", the service was a little bit lacking. But that was about the only blemish on the beauty.

The whole team looked after us very very well. It was our first time here but we were treated as if we were returning for a 10th year in a row. Always smiling and nothing too much trouble for them. Very cleaned hotel throughout and rooms cleaned daily. Want to sleep in and skip breakfast maybe? -No problem, just put the do not disturb sign and your room will be cleaned in the afternoon instead. They were all amazing. Very good variety of different cuisines every night with various signature dishes in the evenings. Draught beer, Wine by the glass/bottle and various cocktails and alcohols offered with your meals. Soft drinks, juice/water & coffee also available. Out of meal times - the pool bar is serving Mojitos and Piña Coladas.

Brilliant! Thoroughly enjoyed our 6 night stay. The whole place is kept spotless, good WIFI, very modernised throughout. The food is delicious, plenty of variety for all 3 daily meals. Staff cant do enough for you and are very smiley, good selection of drinks, which staff never let go empty! Since all the facilities were great we spent a lot of our holiday at the hotel, the pool bar is open from 10am and you can take drinks back to your rooms in the plastic cups and enjoy the sun on your private balcony/terrace, or if you fancy being more social you can relax on the sun loungers around the pool (which is kept immaculate, and is at a great temperature to cool off).

Super nice and comfortable overall, rooms with good areas and nicely designed. The staff is extremely nice and professional, the best aspect of the stay. The food available at lunch and dinner varies everyday, it is good but not extraordinary, and it's noticeable they make an effort not to waste food, which is great. The location is perfect if you have a car, with the closest beach of Costa Calma only 3 minutes away (perfect for relaxing) and the extremely beautiful beach of Cotavento less than 10 minutes away (perfect for having fun and enjoy it's beauty).
